Jason’s practice is concentrated on the representation and counseling of insurance companies in litigation and disputes involving insurance coverage. He represents insurers in actions filed in jurisdictions throughout the country and in a variety of insurance coverage contexts, including actions regarding coverage for mass tort liability claims, environmental contamination claims, construction claims, and professional liability claims. Jason’s insurance practice also involves all non-litigation aspects of insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes, with Jason serving as lead negotiator in a diverse range of complex settlements and as an advocate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
In addition to his insurance and reinsurance practice, Jason also has extensive experience in the wide-ranging field of commercial litigation, including the representation of parties in actions involving false advertising, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and a variety of contractual disputes.
Jason is a frequent speaker at insurance-related seminars and conferences and has written articles and presentation materials on a variety of issues pertaining to insurance coverage.
During law school, Jason was a member of the DePaul Law Review and authored the Case Note “United States v. Tucker: Can the Sixth Circuit Really Abolish the Outrageous Government Conduct Defense?” 45 DePaul L. Rev. 943 (1996).
